Working with Jenni to create HiggiFest will always be one of my favourite projects. HiggiFest is a small music festival in Suffolk featuring bands from the surrounding areas. Created in honour of Rowland Higgins, a member of the band Village Green. The festival was headlined by the remaining members of Village Green whilst families and fans gathered together to enjoy the music, food and activities. Being such a success HiggiFest returned to the Suffolk countryside the following year.
Creating The Look
With the stage mainly featuring rock bands, it felt only right to design the logo in the shape of an electric guitar. Below shows highlights from the development of the logo from initial ideas to the final design, with comments from the client in red. The logo needed to be timeless and easy to read with a laid back style.
Poster & Theme Design
Being a family-friendly festival we wanted to stay clear of loud, aggressive colours and style. A pastel colour palette with simple character illustrations painted the picture of a chilled-out fun day out for everyone.
